Kijiji (www.kijiji.it) is part of the eBay group, was born in February 2005 and is a free, local and open to all classifieds platform.
On Kijiji you can find many types of products in your city and get in touch with other people.
bindCommerce allows automatic dialogue with Kijiji, generating a file containing the offers to be published and sending it to an FTP area.
The ad site will automatically fetch the file from the same area to import the ads into its product catalog.
Thanks to the automatic procedures, it will then be possible to arrange the sending and updating of the advertisements automatically.
The first action to take to start configuring the integration with bindCommerce is to create the Kijiji node.
Sending ads to Kijiji
After configuring the ad publication parameters in the best possible way and matching categories, it is possible to create and activate the sending connector to Kijiji, which will generate a file containing all the ads to be published and will insert the same into the prepared FTP area.
In doing so, the ad site will fetch the file from time to time, through an automatic process, providing for the publication of new ads and updating of those already present.

List and details of ads
The list of published ads can be found at the following bindCommerce menu:
Ad sites >> Kijiji ads >> Published ads
This list contains all the ads published and can be filtered through various parameters:
- Product
- SKU
- Node
- Common ISTAT code
Now let's see what we find specifically within a record.
- Product: field containing the product ID, available from the product list in bindCommerce;
- SKU: indicates the SKU of the item;
- Node: specifies the previously created node, through which the announcement was published;
- Common ISTAT code: unique value that indicates the municipality linked to the announcement;
- Publication date: date on which the announcement on Kijiji was published;
- Announcement update date: date on which the announcement on Kijiji was updated;
- Kijiji ID: id generated by bindCommerce. It will then become the reference id Kijiji once the announcement is published;
- Connector: connector used for sending / updating;
- Connector execution ID: id relating to the execution of the connector, available in the logs made available by bindCommerce.

Offer publishing configuration
Before being able to send announcements to Kijiji, it is necessary to create a configuration to specify general and more specific information concerning the web server where to upload the generated file.
We will find the section used for this purpose under the heading:
Ad sites >> Kijiji ads >> Ad publication setup
In this section there are some fields to fill in such as:
- Configuration name: identifier to be able to remember later the function of the configuration;
- Web Server where to upload the generated file: in this field it is necessary to specify the web server in which bindCommerce will save the file containing the offers and from which Kijiji will make the withdrawal;
- eMail address: indicate the eMail address specified during registration on the platform;
- Phone number: indicate the telephone number specified when registering on the platform;
- Use a set of alternative descriptions? - The option allows you to publish on Kijiji the values of products present in an alternative date, instead of the main ones. This possibility can be used to manage the publication in alternative languages or with a different format.
- Node from which to get the product url: in this option you must indicate the node of the eCommerce platform from which the product urls will be downloaded. The same will then be indicated in the individual announcements on Kijiji;
- Price list from which to take the prices: the price list from which to take the prices to be applied to the single announcements;
- Publish discounted price? - Specify whether or not to apply a discounted price to the ad if present in the price list indicated in the previous item;
- Payment with PayPal allowed? - Allows you to enable or disable payment via Paypal;
Click on SAVE AND CLOSE.
Ad submission connector
Once the rest of the configurations are finished, all that remains is to create the connector that will take care of sending the ads to Kijiji.
Go to the menu:
Process >> Connectors
Click on Add and fill in the fields as follows:
- Connector name;
- Node type (technology): in our case it is “Marketplace Kijiji”;
- Node: the node we created at the beginning, which can be selected from a list of nodes related to Kijiji technology;
- Connector Type: We need “Marketplace Kijiji [Ad Operations]” to publish offers.
Clicking on "Save and Continue" will also appear:
- Filters on the records to be treated (products): filter previously set in the “Processes -> Filters” section that will select the products that will be sent to the Kijiji marketplace;
- Kijiji: ad serving configuration: in which we will select our configuration;
- Do the connector immediately? - Select yes if you want the connector to run as soon as it is saved.
Click on SAVE AND CLOSE.

The matching between the categories present on bindCommerce and those of Kijiji is used to specify where to merge the ads.
LThe page where it is possible to define these matches can be reached from the menu:
Ad sites >> Kijiji ads >> Matching categories
To add a match click on Add, fill in the 2 categories and the relevant sector.
To enter the bindCommerce category to be matched, you can use the autocomplete function, or click on the magnifying glass and use the search function.
The list of Kijiji categories and the sector is available through the drop-down menu.
For some categories, a series of Attributes will also be applicable, to specify more precisely the type of product.
Finally click on SAVE AND CLOSE. Repeat the operation for all the categories that you want to match with the Kijiji categories.

The installation of the Kijiji node allows you to connect bindCommerce to the platform itself, thus allowing the products to be sold.
To create the Kijiji node go to the menu:
Process >> Nodes
Click on Add and fill in the fields as follows:
- Technology: Select Kijiji Ads
- Name: enter the desired name
click on SAVE AND CONTINUE. The page will reload showing the other parameters to be filled in.
Specifically, the municipality and the region specified during registration on Kijiji will be entered.
Once the configuration is complete, click on SAVE AND CLOSE to make the changes made definitive.
